                <text>Dans la lignée de Pattes blanches et Liteau, Bleus de travail poursuit l’exploration des milieux de l’apprentissage, avec cette fois le parti de rassembler un ensemble plus vaste de portraits d’élèves, pris dans plusieurs écoles techniques. Réalisée avec le soutien de la Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, en partenariat avec le centre photographique de Haute Normandie, la série se compose en sous-ensembles : élèves soudeurs, chaudronniers, techniciens de maintenance industrielle, mécaniciens, mécaniciens agricoles, techniciens de l’industrie papetière, horticulteurs, agriculteurs, fleuristes, couvreurs zingueurs, charpentiers, menuisiers, ébénistes, maçons, plombiers, peintres, tailleurs de pierre, boulangers et pâtissiers et enfin bouchers. Un véritable inventaire de tenues de travail y est dressé, prises dans le contexte des lieux d’apprentissage. De la tenue à l’environnement, tout est pensé pour la protection de ce corps aux gestes inexpérimentés. Au sein de ce milieu contrôlé, duquel rien ne doit dépasser, l’individu parvient pourtant à semer le trouble. Ici une combinaison retroussée, les manches attachées à la taille, là des empreintes de main maculées de rouge sur le blanc du tablier et puis souvent quelques attributs adolescents : gel dans les cheveux, casquettes, piercings, pointant plus ou moins timidement. Le photographe, à quelques rares exceptions près, leur demande de laisser leurs outils de côté, et de poser, face à lui, les bras le long du corps. Le geste, celui pour lequel ils sont là, qu’il leur faut apprendre et maîtriser, leur est ôté. Ce n’est pas le motif de l’homme au travail qui est recherché. Ce qui fait image, ce sont des individus, un pied dans la pose sociale, l’autre encore dans l’adolescence, faisant face, le regard sondant celui du photographe, comme pour y deviner déjà le reflet de leur future image : la photographie de leur identité d’adulte.</text>
